x^2 - 9x / -5x^2 + 45x

factor it by x

x(x-9) / -5x(x-9)

look over there (x-9) and (x-9) cut it out !!!!

x/-5x
divide x

1/-5

That's it *-*

(x^2 - 9x)/(45x - 5x^2)
= x(x - 9)/[5x(9 - x)
= -x(-x + 9)/[5x(9 - x)]
= -x(9 - x)/[5x(9 - x)]
= -x/5x
= -1/5

(x^2 - 9x) / (45x - 5x^2)

factor out an x in the numerator and denominator:

x(x - 9) / x(45 - 5x)

now you can cancel out the x's:

(x - 9) / (45 - 5x)

now factor out a 5 in the denominator:

(x - 9) / 5(9 - x)

now factor out a -1 in the numerator:

-1(9 - x) / 5(9 - x)

now you can cancel out the 9-x:

-1 / 5

x ( x - 9 )
-----------------
5x (9 - x)

- x (9 - x)
----------------
5x (9 - x)

- 1 / 5
