這句英文代表離開或是死亡?

Your parent is gone... 意思是父母已去世..

如要表達 "雙親是己離開香港,返回美國" , 應是

Your parents have left Hong Kong and back to US.

雙親= your parentS

NO!! Not to use that, only the very beginer will make this mistake.
You should say "your parent 'had' pass away" not "Your parent 'is'
gone" and why you are using 'is', you type 'gone' it is a past tense!!

not using 'is' better use 'had' for sure..
'gone' didn't same as 'pass away' remember that!!!

Both answers are correct.
But you have to depend on the whole sentence.
Like : your parents is gone to America . OR Your parents is gone already .

解釋是相通的。

而pass away 是有時候，你與別人早上談話談到某人離世。但有些人早上不喜歡聽到『死』之類的用詞，pas away就是一個比較溫婉的字眼。

而作文上，大多用pass away的。

is gone 解作離世。
