=) The sum of two consecutive even numbers is greater than 17.
Find the minimum value of the larger number.

=)For two consecutive multiples of 4,the larger number is less than twice of the smaller one by at least 16.Find the minimum valus of two numbers.

Let the two consecutive even numbers be x and (x+2)
x+(x+2)>17
2x+2>17
2x>15
x>7.5
so the minimum value of x is 8
Thus , the two consecutive even numbers are 8 and 10
2.
Let the two consecutive multiples of 4 be 4x and 4(x+1)
2(4x)-4(x+1)≥16
8x-4x-4≥16
4x-4≥16
4x≥20
x≥5
The minimum valus of x is 5
So the minimum valus of two numbers is 20.24
