The answer is:

9/12 + 5/34 + 7/68

9/12 = 3/4

5/34 + 7/68 = 17/68 = 1/4

Therefore 9/12 + 5/34 + 7/68 = 1

A = 9, B = 1, C = 2, D = 5, E = 3, F = 4, G= 7, H = 6 and I = 8.

Reasoning:

For the equation to be true one of the fractions has to be larger than 1/2. It is possible to have a few combination just like that but 9/12 is the largest among all and the easiest to find any common denominator.

Now that 9/12 is in place, the next largest fraction you can find has to be X/34 because 34 is the smallest denominator now that 1 and 2 are gone.

In order to have 1/4 = D/34 + G(10H + I), 10H + I has to be 68.

D and G can be determined by trying to place 5 and 7. Since D + G has to be 17, D is 5 and G is 7.

Note the some of these unknowns are interchangeable such as A, B, C can exchange value with D, E and F and so on.
