1. The answer is B. (1) (2) (4).

(1) When the temperature is higher, the air expands and in the same volume, the number of air molecules will decrease, resulting in lowering in air pressure, (1) is correct.

(2) Because of gravity, air molecules are mainly trapped in lower altitude rather than higher altitude. So, the pressure is higher in lower altitude. (2) is correct.

(3) There is an 'Environmental Lapse Rate' (ELR), it states that for every rise of 1000 m, there will be an average drop of 6 degree Celcius. So, for higher altitude, the temperature should be lower. (3) is incorrect.

(4) For lower latitude, the angle of incidence of the Sun is higher. So, the temperature should be higher. (4) is correct.

2. The answer is C. 2, 3, 4, 1.

This is a cycle. That is, after 1, procedure 2 will carry on.

Firstly, The air over the equator is hot, it expands and rises. (2)

Then due to pressure difference, the upper air will move poleward, where the upper air is at lower pressure. (3)

There, at 30* latitude, the air cools down, it contracts and sinks. (4)

Then at the surface of 30* latitude, it is at a higher pressure. Due to pressure gradient, it moves to the equator. (1)
