First distribute the (.15)
1.5 - .15x + .45x = (.30) (10)
Then add the two like terms on the left
1.5 + .30 x = (.30) (10)
Then multiply the terms on the right
1.5 + .30 x = 3
Subtract 1.5 from both sides
.30 x = 1.5
multiply each side by 10 (move decimal one to the right)
3 x = 15
Solve
x = 5

Best to you.

(.15)(10-x)+.45x=(.30)(10)
1.5-0.15x+0.45x=3
1.5+0.3x=3
0.3x=3-1.5
0.3x=1.5
x=5 answer//

checking

0.15(10-5)+.45(5)=(.30)(10)
0.15(5)+0.75=3
0.75+2.25=3
3=3 correct!

(0.15)(10 - x) + 0.45x = (0.3)(10)
0.15*10 - 0.15*x + 0.45x = 3
1.5 - 0.15x + 0.45x = 3
-0.15x + 0.45x = 3 - 1.5
0.3x = 1.5
x = 1.5/0.3
x = 5

First multiply everthing out:

1.5 - 0.15x + 0.45x = 3.0

Then combine like terms:

1.5 + 0.3x = 3.0

Try to get x by itself by subtracting 1.5 from both sides:

0.3x = 1.5

Keep trying to get x alone by dividing both sides by 0.3:

x = 5

There's your answer!

First, let's simplify the equation:

0.15(10 - x) + 0.45x = 0.30(10)

We can simplofy the right side:

0.15(10 - x) + 0.45x = 3

Now multiply the 0.15 through the parenthesis:

1.5 - 0.15x + 0.45x = 3

Now combine like terms and solve:

1.5 + 0.3x = 3
0.3x = 1.5
x = 5

(.15)(10-x)+.45x=(.30)(10)
1.5 - 0.15x + .45x = 3.0
personally, I hate decimals, multiply everything through by 100
150 - 15x + 45x = 300
150 + 30 x = 300
30x = 150
x = 5
