Why do women hate mens egos?

Yeah you are quite right, if it was not for large egos, there wouldn't be competition. That's why this "fragile (somehow inferior) male ego" stuff annoys me, were it not for the competition and belief we could do better we'd be living in huts. There would be no birth control or machines to type up theories that imply that the male ego is inferior on.

No, not necessarily. You can be single-minded and driven without having an inflated ego. And it's quite possible to dislike a person on a personal level while respecting their intelligence/achievements.

You may notice that it is predominantly insecure women (feminists) who attack the "fragile male ego" (in their words).

Normal women are glad of a man's ego - which as you note is largely responsible for the heights of technological advancement we are able to enjoy in today's society.

I'm curious myself as to why women claim to abhor the male ego, most especially when they in actuality are more attracted to men with big egos than they are to men with no ego- made obvious by the fact that they spend so much time obsessing and complaining about the subject in the first place.

mm. well there's a fine line between confidence & conceit... I think some guys cross that line without realizing it.

However, I think that girls are generally much more vain than men.

I don't agree that it is ego that has pushed us to new heights. Ego is a very negative thing - it's behind arrogance and prejudice.
I like a man with confidence, but that's not the same as ego.

Says who? And no, intelligence is responsible for the development of the ongoing progress of technological achievement, and the ability of our brain to continue to seek discovery. Your statement suggests that females lack strong egos. Now really, are you living in an intellectually deprived environment? Hopefully not. Until fairly recently, males were born with ascribed status, and females were suppressed, deprived of educational opportunity, and considered the property of her father, and then that of her husband. The reality of the potential for the contribution to all areas of increased understanding of our global environment finally opens the reality of the equality of females. Males can protest this fact as much as they like. They know the truth.

Because their egos are usually Holier than thou, and stuck up, and it's a real turn off.

First of all, why are you asking guys to answer your question? If you want to get a woman, then you should be asking women to answer. Why would a guy want to look at your picture? Secondly, yes you are very good looking, but you said that you were a d**k. Seriously, why would a woman want a guy who is abrasive and nasty???? Is that your true nature? If it is, then there is probably no hope for you, because looks can take you only so far. No lasting relationship has ever been built on looks. I am curious to know how many women want a guy who is totally hot, but is a d**k. I don't believe that is your true nature, so why don't you just drop the jerk act, grow up, and be yourself. How can anyone respect you if you don't give respect? If you are shallow, you will get shallow.

because women dont have egos they have self esteem and self confindence which is essential, this is reason if a old man buys a sports car its because he has small dick insecure and is trying to boost his fragile male ego which is a bad thing but if women get a make over or something to boost her self confindence thats brilliant and she should congratulated for being strong
