Do Americans take their freedoms (rights) for granted?

Part 1:
Could you be more specific in regards to what freedoms (rights) Americans have that others don't?
For example, what can an American do in the US that a Englishman can't in the UK, or an Australian can't in Australia?
Once I know what specific rights you're talking about, I'll gladly tell you whether those rights are taken for granted.

Part 2:
Ok, you've specifically listed freedoms of religion and the press...
These are rights that are not unique to Americans... Every western country has these rights. The reality is that America is no more free than any other democratic country (and there are a lot of those).

No, I don't think anybody who has never spent a night either in jail or a mental institution can really appreciate freedom.
