(6x - 18)/(2x^2 - 5x - 3) * (4x^2 + 4x + 1)/(6x + 3)
= [6(x - 3)]/(2x^2 + 3x - 6x - 3) * (4x^2 + 2x + 2x + 1)/[3(2x + 1)]
= [6(x - 3)]/[(2x + 1)(x - 3)] * [(2x + 1)(2x + 1)]/[3(2x + 1)]
= 6/(2x + 1) * (2x + 1)/3
= 2/(2x + 1) * (2x + 1)
= 2
= [6(x - 3)]/(2x^2 + 3x - 6x - 3) * (4x^2 + 2x + 2x + 1)/[3(2x + 1)]
= [6(x - 3)]/[(2x + 1)(x - 3)] * [(2x + 1)(2x + 1)]/[3(2x + 1)]

Well factor everything in the hopes that some of this nastiness cancels
6(x-3) / (2x+1)(x-3) * (2x+1)(2x+1) / 3(2x+1)
Ok, let's combine then cancel for sake of the computer
6(x-3)(2x+1)(2x+1) / 3(2x+1)(x-3)(2x+1)
All the binomials cancel and we're left with
6/3 = 2
So all of that stuff equals two, a lot of work for not much of an answer.
