Once the interest rate is fixed on the deposit date. You will not be affected no matter interest goes up or down.

Of course, the interest rate will not change once it is fixed, that is why it is called fixed rate, unless you enter a loan agreement and you cannot repay the loan which you have to, you will be required to settle yr debt with the asset collateralized with the bank, the fixed deposit in some cases.
