✔ 最佳答案
3 1/2 - 2 3/5
= 3 (1 x 5)/(2 x 5) - 2 (3 x 2)/(5 x 2)
= 3 5/10 - 2 6/10
= (3 - 2) + (5/10 - 6/10)
= 1 + (-1/10)
= 1 - 1/10
= 10/10 - 1/10
= 9/10

3 1/2 - 2 3/5

7/2 - 13/5

35/10 - 26/10

GCSE? Surely that's primary school stuff.

I could add and subtract fractions long before I left Primary school aged 11.

by the way it's 9/10

3 + 1/2 - 2 - 3/5
1 + 1/2 - 3/5
1 + 5/10 - 6/10
1 - 1/10
9/10

You first have to start by turn these mixed fractions into improper fractions. 3 1/2 becomes 7/2 and 2 3/5 becomes 13/5. You then find the LCD (Least Common Denominator), which in this case is 10. Then U do the following:

7 ?
---- -----
2 10 (2x5=10, so U multiply 5 to the numerator)

13 ?
---- -----
5 10 (5x2=10, so U multiply 5 to the numerator)

So U should get : 35/10 - 26/10 = 9/10

Hope this helps.

3 1/2 x5 = 15 5/10
2 3/5 x2 = 4 6/10

15 5/10 - 4 6/10 =
10 9/10

idk something like that..

remember to make them top heavy and when subtracting fractions you must flip the second one.
I'm not going to do it for you because i'm lazy
