✔ 最佳答案
1st interpretation:
1/3x - 1/6x = 9 Multiply all items by 6, thus
6(1/3x) - 6(1/6x) = 6(9)
2x - x = 54
x = 54

Answer: x = 54

Proof:
1/3(54) - 1/6(54) = 9
18 - 9 = 9
9 = 9

2nd interpretation:
1/(3x) - 1/(6x) = 9
2/(6x) - 1/(6x) = 9
1/(6x) = 9
54x = 1
x = 1/54

Answer: x = 1/54

Proof:
(1/[3 * 1/54]) - (1/[6 * 1/54]) = 9
1/(1/18) - 1/(1/9) = 9
18 - 9 = 9
9 = 9
x = 1/18

(1/3) x - (1/6) x = 9
2x - x = 54
x = 54

(1/3)X - (1/6)X = 9
(2/6)X - (1/6)X = 9
this step you want to find a common denominator, since 3 goes into 6 twice you multiply the numerator by 2, giving you 2/6X
1/6X = 9
Since the variable, X is the same you can subtract them from eachother giving you 1/6X
X = 9/(1/6) = 9*6 = 54
X = 54
To check if your solution is right simply substitute 54 in for the X variables
(1/3)*54 - (1/6)*54 = 9

ans is x=1/54
firstly take 1/x common and then u hv d eqn as :
1/x(1/3-1/6)=9 now take LCM of 1/3 and 1/6 and u hv d left side of d eqn as : 1/x[(2-1)/6], this implies that 1/6x=9 now multiply by 6 on both sides and u hv 1/x =54 i.e. x=1/54

1/3 x - 1/6 x = 9 : original
Multiply by 6 to clear denominators :
6(1/3) x - 6(1/6) x = 6(9)
2x - x = 54 : do the multiplication
x = 54 : simplify for final answer
2009-02-20 4:35 pm
1/3(x) - 1/6(x) = 9
x/3 - x/6 = 9
6(x/3 - x/6) = 6(9)
2x - x = 54
x = 54

you know 1/3 is equal to 6/18

1/6 = 3/18

so you have 6/18x - 3/18x = 9
3/18x = 9
divide 9 by (3/18) and

x = 18 x 3 = 54
2009-02-20 4:32 pm
1/3x - 1/6x = 9

multiply it all by 6x:

2 - 1 = 54x

1 = 54x

x = 1/54
