To square 5/4 multiply it times itself.
5/4 x 5/4 . This yields 25/16
Now multiply this fraction by 2
This gives 50/16
Reducing the fraction gives 25/8
Which is equal to 3 1/8

2 x (5/4)^2
= 2 x (5^2)/(4^2)
= 2 x 25/16
= 25/8

25/16 x 2 = 25/8 = 3⅓

so your saying 2(sqr of 5/4)

2(sqr(5/1)(1/2)(1/2)
2(1/2)(sqr5/1)
1(sqr5/1)
so the answer is sqr of 5
