Hi,

x² + 5x + 4 = 0
(x + 4)(x + 1) = 0 <==factored form

x + 4 = 0
x = -4 <==solution

x + 1 = 0
x = -1 <==solution

I hope that helps!! :-)

x^2 + 5x + 4 = 0
x^2 + 4x + x + 4 = 0
(x^2 + 4x) + (x + 4) = 0
x(x + 4) + 1(x + 4) = 0
(x + 4)(x + 1) = 0

x + 4 = 0
x = -4

x + 1 = 0
x = -1

∴ x = -4 , -1

(x + 4)(x + 1) = 0
x = - 4 , x = - 1

x^2 + 5x + 4= 0
(x+1)(x+4)=0

Therefore
(x+1)=0
(x+4)=0

x= -1, -4

75(x+y)^2 - 108 = 3[ 25(x+y)^2 - 36] the bracket equation can now be factored as a difference of two squares.. therefore... = 3 [5(x+y) - 6][5(x+y) + 6] = 3(5x + 5y - 6)(5x + 5y + 6) the above are the factors of the function.... the answer is right... i hope i have helped..
