Maths: graph sketching

Please teach me how to do graph sketching and show me some websites that can help me........ I am hopeless at this.

Can you also please help me to sketch:
y= (x-1) (x-1) (x-5) and y= 8 - 2x on the same diagram please. If you can show me some steps, it will be very helpful. Thank you very much!!

1. Put x = 0 gives the y-intercept.
2. Put y = 0 gives the x-intercepts.
3. Put dy/dx = 0 gives the turning points. (y' to determine max. or min.)
4. Put limit when x tends to + infinity gives the trend of y towards to +ve x direction.
5. Put limit when x tends to - infinity gives the trend of y towards -ve x direction.
For y =(x-1)(x-1)(x-5)
1. y- intercept is (0,-5).
2. x- intercepts are (1, 0) and (5,0).
You can do the rest of the above steps.
2. y = 8 - 2x is a straight line with y - intercept at (0,8) and x - interecept at (4,0).

Correction: Step 3 is y" (not y') to find max. or min.
