harry potter and sorcerer's stone
Harry Potter is an eleven-year-old boy who lived with his cruel relatives in a suburb of London. Ten years ago, he defeated Lord Voldemort, the most powerful dark wizard in history. His parents, on the other hand, did not survive the attack. They died trying to save Harry. On the night of his eleventh birthday, he received a letter, telling that he was actually a wizard, and that he has been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. While at Hogwarts, he learns to cast spells, play Quidditch, and outsmart even the most experienced wizards. In the end, Harry and his friends, Hermione and Ron, got pass the three-headed dog, Fluffy, and rescued the Sorcerer’s Stone from a professor-turned-villain.
I think the most absorbing section is when Harry battles with Lord Voldemort, who is inside the body of Professor Quirrell. Professor Quirrell unwrapped his turban and Lord Voldemort’s face appeared. Then Lord Voldemort spoke to Harry, warning him to give him the Sorcerer’s Stone. But Harry refused, and was attacked by Professor Quirrell. But in the end, Harry defeated Lord Voldemort, for the second time.
In my opinion, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone” is an excellent novel, the author, J.K. Rowling, has created the right magical and mysterious situation for both children and teenagers. The book talks about things people really wanted to know, and the style of the author was splendid. I can see that Harry Potter was a fearless boy, he did not yield or give in when he encounters with a problem. Instead, he endeavors to solve it. And I think this is the key to success.
“Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone” is suitable for everyone, both children and adult. I can almost guarantee that you will love it.
