graft and corruption

近幾年人們每提及貪污,都似乎很喜歡用 graft 這個字。
以往似乎多用 corruption。
就連英語新聞提及 ICAC 也用 anti-graft,但 ICAC 的名稱內也有 corruption 這個字,為何不說 corruption 而說 graft?
兩者有何分別?

Graft means the acquisition of money, gain, or advantage by dishonest, unfair, or illegal means, esp. through the abuse of one's position or influence in politics, business, etc.
Corruption is the act of corrupting or making putrid, or state of being corrupt or putrid; decomposition or disorganization, in the process of putrefaction; putrefaction; deterioration.
Note: Corruption, when applied to officers, trustees, etc., signifies the inducing a violation of duty by means of pecuniary considerations. --Abbott.
