Well I just install photosmart on my computer and when ever I try to print something a window pop up saying "HP Photosmart Essential has encountered a problem and need to close. Sorry for the inconvenient.
and the 2 option are don't send and report error. When ever I click one of them, photosmart close, and whenever I reopen it. It said the same thing.
I don't get it! Help!!

Un-install all your HP drivers. Now, power on your HP but disconnect the USB cable from the printer.Begin a fresh install and let the software tell you to connect the USB Cable. When it says that you need to connect, connect the cable and let the software finish installation.
reboot and windows will find the new hardware and it will work.

You have to install HP Printer first.

If you find that you have the wrong printer driver, go to http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html enter the printer's model, select Download Drivers. Once you have the driver's file in your computer you would run it and it will install the driver.

if it vista, I had a HP printer and installed all the drivers and softwares that came in the CDs ... and the same problem you have.. it wont print anything .. I uninstall the softwares and I just leave the driver of the printer and every thing worked well..
