Why the Circuit City website doesn't purchase DVDs anymore?

That's because Circuit City as a company essentially no longer exists. The stores are now being operated by a liquidator, and the Web site, likely run from headquarters, can be turned off as part of the winding-up of headquarters.

because circuit city is closing all their stores... going bankrupt... will be no more

not sure, but maybe because Circuit City is going through bankruptcy.
