How come in Japan the anime can curse but when the anime came to America they can't. Why?

In America, people take serious offense to nudeness and swearing.

But in Japan, they are exposed to it at a young age. Therefore, they don't take it as seriously.

When anime gets dubbed and comes to America, They cut out a lot of nudity and cursing so that the people in the US don't get all pissed off about it.

That's your society difference for you!

Culture difference. In Japan they can curse on TV. In America curse words are taboo and offencive. And in Canada we arn't as picky.

Its not that it sucks or not.

It just depends on the series' rating.

For example, Naruto is 13+, right?

So, the editors put little to no curse words translated in English.

On other higher ratings, its more curse words.

And where do you get the idea that they are using curse words in Japanese? If you're getting this idea from fan subs use of curse words, you are being fooled. Some fan subs use English curse words to make an anime seem more edgier than it really is. They substitute common words like "baka" which means stupid for harsher language. I've seen many fan subs that do this all the time.

Unless you understand and speak you are not qualified to make a call like this.

How do I know,
Find out what "kuso", "yourou" and Ko mon" mean in Japanese then come back to me, then we'll talk.

Swearing in Japan is a light thing, it's not really a "bad" thing like here in America, but it has relevance in their everyday lives. Not that doesn't apply here either. American t.v. stations, such as Cartoon Network, or 4Kids, do not want children's minds to be corrupted. If they do, they might get sued, and that's the last thing stations want. Adult Swim shows some anime shows, but only the ones that are action-typed. You can also look towards Funimation or Viz Media for other animes that do swear, if that's what you're looking for.

yeah, mainly they curse a lot, but i don't think they call it necessarily cursing, it could just be the subs, but there is some animes with cencors like for example a few i've seen with cencors:
Lovely complex
suzumiya haruhi no yuutsu
lucky star(a lot)
and i also figured out that they censor it when they say in english "damn" like in lucky star when konata and her father were having a converation about the anime gundam

Some anime curse, but really only the ones they show one Adult Swim or Anime Network.
