Given y=x^2-2x+3 Want to solve 2x^2-2x+1=0Consider
(2x^2-2x+1)
=(x^2-2x+3)+(x^2-2x+3)+2x-5
=2y+2x-5
So if we draw a straight line y=(5-2x)/2 or 2x+2y-5=0, then the intersection point with y=x^2-2x+3 is just the solution of the original equation (2x^2-2x+1)=0
