(-z)^2 = (-8)^2 = (-8)(-8) = 64

-z^2 = (-1) z^2 = (-1)(8)(8) = (-1)(64) = -64

(-z)^2 (z = 8)
= (-8)^2
= (-8)(-8)
= 64

-z^2 (z = 8)
= -1 * z^2
= -1 * (8)^2
= -1 * 64
= -64

(-z)² = (-z) x (-z) = z² = 64

- (z²) = - 64

the (-z) will be in quadrant( in the top right box of the garph)it's coordinants on the graph would be (64,0) the -z will be the point in quadrant 2(the top left box of the graph)it's cordinates would be (-64,0), with the (-z) since the - is inside the () it gets squared with the eight when you multiply two negatives it makes a positve
example: (-z)^2 = (-8)^2 = (-8) * (-8) = +64
with the -z^2 the - is not squared with the 8
example: -z^2 = -8^2 = -(8 * 8) = -64
i hope that was clear enough for u

(-z) squared is (-8) squared = 64
you can think of -z squared as -(8 squared)= -(64)= -64
