It's a classic for our time, and for that genre. It's no China Town or It's a Wonderful Life, but Johnny Depp is surely one of the greatest actors of our time. I'd say it's a classic.

I am going to say no, not because I don't love the film, I love it, but I am not sure it will stand the test of time, it's not an old film. I know kids think anything older than 2000 is ancient but it's not, I saw it in theaters it's not that old lol. I think it might become a classic but it's not there yet.

One of my favorites.

It is an AMAZING movie, but classic also denotes a certain age. I hear classic, and I think, Wizard of Oz, Psycho, Casablanca, Gone With the Wind, and such. OLD movies. But that's just my definition. But it is without a doubt one of my all-time favorites.
