3y=6x+9 Express this equation in y=mx+b form ?
I am doing grade 10 academic math, and last year i was in applied grade 9 math. I need help putting that equation into y=mx+b form, please show all work and what you did. thanks

3y = 6x + 9
y = (6x + 9)/3
y = 6x/3 + 9/3
y = 2x + 3
3y=6x+9
Divide all by 3, because you need the y alone and the 3 is connected to y by multiplication so you divide.
3y/3 = 6x/3 + 9/3 =
y=2x+3

and you should get:
y=2x+3
ok so you need to get y by itself first
so divide each side by 3, when you do this to the other side you divide both numbers by 3
this will give you: y=2x+3
