i have got a few questions to ask..
1.point out two differences between the nature of nuslear fission and radioactive decay
2.state how nuclear fission and nuclear fusion are different from each other by considering the particles produced during the reaction.

1. The two differences are:
(i) nuclear fission needs a neutron to trigger the reaction, whereas radioactive decay is spontaneous (i.e. it goes on its own).
(ii) nuclear fission resulted in the emission of neutrons, whereas radioactive decay resulted in the emission of alpha, beta or gamma rays
2. Nuclear fission will prouduce product nuclei (the fission products) that are about half the mass of the original nucleus.
Nuclear fusion produces product nucleus that is heavier than the original nuclei.
