Since the 16th Century, if a year is exactly divisible by 4 then it is a leap year (ie 366 days) except if it is a century year (eg 1800, 1900, 2000 etc) when it is only a leap year if it is divisible by 400 exactly (eg 2000/4 = 5 was a leap year but 1900/400 = 4.75 was not).
Therefore: 1962/4 = 490.5 so it was not a leap year so it had 365 days.
PS - if the Olympics are on it is a leap year (or will be until 2100)
