It's funny that other replies are totally irrelevant! Anyway, if you mean Assistant Manager or Manager, I'd suggest you to show your sound knowledge in a particular industry. For instance,
Dear Sir/Madam,
Over ?? years of experience in ???? industry, with ??? years in managerial level is just part of the knowledge I'd bring to your company.
OR
With a proven track record of managing ????, I would bring excellent experience to ???, particularly in the areas of marketing, staff management......(just for example).
Then you should highlight your achievements in bulletin form. Mention if you involved in any big projects or events, or if you successfully helped the previous employers in reducing significant costs (usually they like that very much), what you have managed before, and your language skills.
Remember to keep you CV within 2 pages and your covering letter short, straight forward but filled with significant points, and of course be polite. Do NOT ever start your letter by "In response to your advertisement..........". If you start like this, it shows you're not at all a professional.
But most importantly, polish your language and writing skills (e.g 如我想應徵一份A.M. or M.的公 ---- it should be “工”not “公”) Check carefully for any typing mistakes. If this happen in your application letter, all your efforts will be wasted.
Good luck.
