i have a question about sushi?

if the shrimp is raw, then it's amaebi nigiri zushi (sweet shrimp sushi). If it was cooked, then it's simply ebi nigiri zushi (shrimp sushi). The amaebi is smaller than the regular shrimp, and generally, they place two pieces on top of the rice ball rather than one.

Like the other answerer said, it's EBI sushi. You're served the EBI sushi, then the shrimp heads are served to you fried on a separate plate. (Must be fresh and fresh only)

Just make sure it's a restaurant that offers the freshest sushi grade quality seafood products

Update: Oops! Thanks for the correction: KathyM was right, it's suppose to be AMAEBI NIGIRI SUSHI (for the raw sushi) NOT *Ebi (*unless you want it cooked) :-)

It's called ebi. Usually, it's under the sushi section on a menu. It's sushi, since it has rice, but it's not a roll. Look for ebi on the menu!

Is it raw shrimp? I doubt it is raw shrimp.
It is most likely boiled shrimp that's been cooled down.

Cause raw shrimp is.. just gross.

Just ask for a shrimp roll.

Shrimp and crab are cooked when they're on sushi. Isn't it PINK? ... You just want Shrimp Sushi. There's a Japanese name for it, but I just order Tuna or Halibut or Octopus sushi and it's fine - actually, I prefer sashimi though, without the rice. It is NOT a Shrimp Roll, because then you'll get it rolled in seaweed with other things...
