Neither, really. He's more of a rival to Kirby. So he frequently gets in the way, but isn't really trying to do anything bad.

I think he isn't really good or bad. I think he just kinda watches Kirby and aids him sometimes. In the cartoons I watched usually he just watched Kirby fight from a distance. And he challenges him one time to a sword fight so Kirby could practice fighting with a sword because he would need it to defeat an enemy that was coming. So ehh... more good then bad but neither.
