2 + 8 + 2
= 10 + 1000 + 10
= 1010 + 10
= 1100 (binary)

2+8+2=12,unless the base of your numerials is NOT 10.

ok i would say it would be 282 or as one said the base would be different
or u had not put the dimensions or units with the fig.
