Well, I think as a graduate with an IELTS banding of 7.5, simply reading instructional books cannot get you to the next level.

What you need to do, should you wish to polish your English to a more professional standard, is to keep reading a variety of books and magazines on a regular basis.

Think about what kind of English you want to acquire: business? communicative? literary? Then read accordingly.

If you want to write better business english, maybe you can read the Fortune magazines. And Time magazine is a good choice, too, for all kinds of English writing. You can keep yourself up-to-date with new terms and new ways of expression by reading such magazines.

The standard of the English language newspapers available in HK now is not very good. I would not suggest learning from them.
