For those who don't know a hot air balloon debate is where you choose a celeb u wnt 2 be and there r 5 of u in the balloon. U argue about why u should be saved (only 1 can be saved) and why the others shouldn't. I really need some bad points on Qin Shi Huang - why shouldn't Qin Shi Huang be saved? ASAP thanks - x

Qin Shi Huang ruled with an iron fist. It was a case of follow his methods or face death. The main reason that he conquered all of China is that he overturned an unwritten rule that all prisoners of war there to be well treated. Qin Shi Huang on the other hand killed them.

It was all well that he introduced system of weights, writing and even the width of cartwheels but as a ruler he could. It was a case of do so or die.

He destroyed a lot of history books and literature works in China. When he was the emperor, he has this fear that people will write bad things about him and people will use literature, writing and other works to "distort" his greatness, so he ordered all history books be burnt and all "disobeying" scholars be killed as well. If it wasn't for him, we might have a lot more Chinese historical books and works to study today.
