May be he is shy as well. Some guys will not go and ask until they are like 90 % sure you like him.

I think he definetly likes you .. sounds like there is some maaajor flirting going on between you !
When you see him tomorrow let him know that you are interested by flirting back with him etc.
And just relax and be yourself around him, dont be constantly on edge thinking omg what if i look like an idiot!?
