how do u know if u have a kindney infection?

When i had mine, for days before i started to throw up seriously badly, then had a very bad pain in my lower back, then started to have an excrusiatingly painful headache. Then 3 days later i just could'nt get out of bed, i spent the entire day throwing up and feeling weak, then i got so feverish and started fitting so i had to be rushed to hospital. I was there for a week on a drip and oxygen tubes, i spent the entire time in absolute agony, the worst pain i have ever expereienced (but clearly it was a bad case)!!! The irritating thing is, this all could have been prevented by me going to the doctors when i started to feel ill and getting some antibiotics! ......if you think you have a kidney infection, i would definatly suggest having a simple pee test done my a nurse at a walk in centre, definatly not worth letting it get as bad as i did!!!

Lower back pain. Stinging when you p. Having a pee and not feeling like you have properly emptied your bladder. Fever, temperature, feeling run down, generally feeling awful. Stomach pain. Have it checked out. Kidney infections are not good if they go untreated. They are nasty and make you feel awful.

hiya, it affects your wee,and you get bad pains in your botten of your back.

You will always need the toilet but with only small volume of wee. More, your wee will be an abnormal colour.
Also, you would feel bloated and you will be bloated.
My uncle has an kidney infection before so i am telling you what i saw.
And your skin will have a touch of yellow too, your eyes are dry and yellowy as well.

Best is to go and get tested with a Dr. HOpe you are ok though.

I get them often, almost always with no symptoms until it is raging. Most often I feel the need to pee. Pain in my side (front and back between my ribs and hip on the right side). Most times it hurts to even sit.

Many people get burning when the pee, I however don't. They do make test sticks that you can get at the drugstore.

i have one just now! it normally stars off as a urine infection and then you find you get a sore back. Mine is usually lower back and to the side on each side. The pain can be a dull ache or quite sharp. One infection I had made me dizzy and I had a temperaure too. Ive had a few now over the last 3 years and they have varied each time. Go to the doctor and they will ask for a urine sample. They should be able to tell you straight away and give you some antibiotics. If in doubt drink plenty of water, it will help.

It hurts like hell, has been likened to child birth pains.worse when you need to pee and you get temporary relief when you have peed, then it all builds up again as your bladder re-fills because the kidneys are trying to get rid of the toxins. see your Dr asap
