(a)the mean number of cows
=(0*8+1*6+2*5+3*1)/20
=19/20
=0.95
(b)
If the data are arranged such that x1<x2<...<x20
The median is the mean of x10 and x11
x10=3 x11=4
So the median is 3.5
(c)
Since the order of the data do not change, the median is the original median plus 600
i.e. 9000
