Hey I started learning the electric one at around 11 as well.
I was lazy to practice hours a day like what you are considering.
However, I love to play songs that I really like and I love to practice
them instead of what my teacher told me to.
As a result, I am not professional in guitar.
BUT
I am good in forming a band and shows on stage.
Sometimes I realised that I am not enough but actually I am enough
on stages in uni.
So depends on what you want to be: a PROFEESIONAL one or the one
who just enough.
And now I am turning 20, still playing guitar. Got some stage performance experiences.
And I am quite satisfy with those experiences as well.
Suggestion: When you are tired of practicing what you dont like,
practice SONGS that you love! So that you wont give up guitar!
BTW, ELECTRIC GUITAR IS FUN! you shouoldnt miss it !
