I accidentally erased my recycle bin. How can I retrieve it back?

Restore Recycle Bin (Windows XP):

1. Right-click an empty area of your desktop
2. Select Properties
3. Click the Desktop tab
4. Click the Customize button
5. Click Restore Default
6. Exit all windows and restart your computer

Vista:

1. Right click the Vista Desktop
2. Click on Personalize
3. Select: 'Change desktop icons'
4. At the Desktop Icon Settings, place a tick next to: 'Recycle Bin'.

To put it simply you can't there is no safety net for accidentally deleting things from recycle bin because the recycle bin is the safety net its there so you don't accidentally delete things

Use your system restore option to go back to before you made this blunder. Just remember put anything you need to keep that you have done recently on a memory stick.

Try restoring to an earlier date... your files just may still be there.

To do this... go to:

Start / All Programmes / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore
