It is a trapezium
Area = 1/2 × height(sum of parallel sides)
height shown by height of right angled triangle. = 6
parallel sides are 8 and 4
Area = 1/2 × 6(8 + 4)
= 36 unit²

I think it's a trapezium, not a parallelogram.

a = h(s1 + s2)/2
[area = h(side1 + side2)/2]

a = h(s1 + s2)/2
a = 6(4 + 8)/2
a = 6(12)/2
a = 72/2
a = 36

∴ the area of the trapezium is 36 square units.

It is a trapezium.

Area of trapezium = 1/2 (addition of parallel lengths) * height
= 1/2 (8+4)*6
=6*6
36 units^2

do you mean trapezium?

A = 0.5*h*(a+b) = 0.5*6*(8+4) = 36

If you mean the whole thing:

A = l*w = 6*8 = 48
