Jello-There is no protein in it so easily digested. Plus it will help with being dehydrated.

The first real food i kept down was a plain steaming hot baked potato.

For me, I find liquids stay down better so I drank a lot of soup. To make sure I get enough nutrients, I made chicken broth using bone-in chicken breasts and tomatoes, and then I used to broth to make clear pea and carrot soup. I drank that for until my stomach is willing to take solids again.

Sweetie I am so there with you! Catch 22 at its worst. I actually posted a very similar question yesterday. I hate crackers and don't want to eat them, however I don't feel like eating anything at all but the morning sickness (make that all day sickness that seems to be worst at night) wont go away as a result of me not eating enough. Toast sounds like it wont be too bad. Vitamins are supposed to help but I threw my prenatal up last night. Im going to start trying seabands for your wrists and vitamin B6 which is supposed to help some. As far as food choices I cant help too much because nothings sounds good to me. I hope we both feel better soon.

You don't mention how pregnant you are, I assume you are early on...for me I also hated crackers, but foods that had some water too them helped me out the most--cantaoupe, watermelon anything that would help wet my mouth and throat but weren't too heavy...try the old standards like toast, chicken broth or noodle soup and yogurt---it's an unfortunate catch-22...if you don't have anything in your stomach you will feel sicker...try to eat small amounts of protein when you can eat, like cottage cheese, yogurt, apple with peanut butter, ginger snaps or ginger ale for the nausea...the protein will keep you full longer...try to stay hydrated though--your body is doing overtime and dehydration can give you headaches and make nausea worse..Check with your OB also, sometimes they have time honored tricks or new things or they can give you something to help the nausea if it is severe...good luck!

I loved cranberry juice, the sweet and tart made me feel better. Jello and chicken broth. (but not together) Pudding might work for some. What about flour or corn tortillas? You could try wafer cookies like the ice cream cone bottom. Peppermint tea is very calming on a sick tummy too. When I was first pregnant I liked corn bread. You could even snack on granola. Hope this helps.
