Why do you like your favorite anime character?

I like Teresa of the faint the Smile, from Claymore, specifically because of her personality, which is sooo similar to mine. I can understand why should would drop all of her notions so quickly just for the chance to experience (no matter how short it might be) something so great; love. Being able to feel - to be hurt, to be loved, to be truly happy - is something some people never get to really feel, and they spend their whole life following something that they don't even know exist... but continue to strive for it just for the enlightenment it is said to bring.

Ok, so somewhere in that paragraph I lost what I was talking about... hmm.


Bottom line is that Teresa and I relate - IMO. And she is, to me, the best sub-character any anime has produced yet. (:

My favorite anime character is Iria from "Iria: Zeiram the Animation." I like her because I like brave, strong, female characters. That there are a lot of such characters in a lot of anime is what sets them apart from other modes of entertainment. So kudos to anime!

If I really started in on this subject, you'd just think -oh great, another fan-girl answer-, but there is more to them than just that! I tend to choose the darker, and (of course) deadly characters. They are intelligent, honorable, powerful, stealthy, usually more on the quiet side,(but I like that)-- they choose words wisely and when they do speak, you better listen (could be the difference between life and death!!) also my favorite do not waste there time on anything beneath them, I respect my favorite and am in awe of them!! good question grimmjaw, it really made me realize the attributes of favorite character, than just the obvious>>(oh he is such a hottie)<<<My fan-girl answer!! lol ~~~ ^o^

I like my favorite character L because..well he's very interesting. He was doing the right thing to try and stop Light, with all means. And that's what made him so cool because he is justice xD

And plus he likes cake and who doesn't like cake and sweets ^_^

Favorite anime character is: NANA. She is from the music band in the series.

Sesshy. Because he's strong, im not so fond of weak anime characters.. i usually dislike those anime characters that cant stand up for themselves. He's neither good nor bad, he does what he wants to do. He doesnt want the power that everyother demon in the show wants, this showing he can resist temptation and that he is strong not only physically.

He's intelligent, calm, quiet, he doesnt show his soft side but he has one. So.. thats why i like sesshy..

I almost forgot about Iria! She's a really good anime role model for girls. Hot, without being skanky, bold, strong, brave, decisive. A well developed character. I remember watching that movie on the sci-fi channel. To this day. I still kinda hope they make a full-fledged series out it. With all the new remakes these days, I get the feeling I won't be holding my breath for TOO long.

I like my favorite anime character because she's just so cool...i love her character in the anime.

My favorite anime character is probably...don't laugh....Bakura from Yu-gi-oh. Ryou himself is really sweet, and I think its pretty awesome that he seriously cares for his friends. For the spirit of the ring, he's one: hot. two: I can understand why he is who he is. I mean, I actually kind of pity him, having his whole family/village killed like that.

^^ and to top it all off, Ryou/Yami Bakura was my first anime crush!
