What happens if I'm late to register for a university course?

Well I'm almost near the beginning of my 2nd semester in university, however I have yet to register due to the fact I was changing majors then the university actually lost my form.

I never really registered for a course because I was waiting for the decision to come through so I can choose courses suitable for the major I end up with. And with the university taking so long to actually come up with an answer to my major change issue, I ended up being registered to no course at all.

I am still counted as a continuing student but I'm not sure if that really will help in getting me my courses.

So basically, what happens to you if you're late to register for your courses?

I can't exactly talk to my adviser since I'm in another country right now so I can't reach him.

Your college adviser should be helping you with this.
The college should still let your register. But many classes may be close due to full enrollment. If the school's offices are open I would call and ask how to proceed to sign up for the second semester
