understands that in a way = 回應前面說過的愛，即明白的那種愛或是表示怎樣去明白愛。
五歲小孩怎樣去明白愛（所能感受的愛）是受金錢和股票價格支配的成年人們所不能理解的。
(這處的 article ' a ' and ' an ' 是泛指大部份的小孩或成年人，不必強譯為【一個】。）

好簡單，是指『一位五歲小朋友所能瞭解的箇中意義，反而是沈溺於金錢及股價的成年人所不能理解的。』
