GETTING A NEW CAR FOR MY 17 yo SON!?

2009-01-21 6:29 am
im either deciding on getting a 2009 bmw 3 series or the mercedes c-class for him, idk which to choose, ive driven a bmw 5 series before and the ride was smooth and fun. What would you choose and why?
更新1:

he's already gotten a used first car, it was a 1995 altima and has gotten a few dings on it, but sadly my neighbor totaled the back of it in winter.

更新2:

and to people who say i spoil him, I have to admit, i do, but he's a good kid and he's grounded and is going to be paying for insurance and gas and anything he does to the car

No 17 year old needs such a expensive car WTF. He needs to learn how to take care of 1 st . i suggest a Honda or Toyoda buy him 1 worth 3-4,000$make him learn how to or when to change the oil/tires/and keep it runing for a year or 2. All your teaching him is he can have those expensive cars when he gets on his own with a crapy job.

A bmw 323i would be a nice choice instead of mercedes c-class. If you prefer mercedes, try a C320.

Why don't you be a good mother and stop spoiling your son. He doesn't need all that. Get him a Honda civic...good and reliable.

I agree on the honda civic, or at least a used car. EVERYONE crashes their first car, no matter what. It just happens. So get him one he can ding up a bit and learn how to drive in, and once he's an accomplished driver and shows responsibility, go with a nicer car (:
Mercedes are nice on the inside, but bmw's are the funnest to drive.

First, i'm sorry on your loss. I continually locate convenience in understanding that none human beings (no be counted how wholesome or how previous) is assured yet another day. And - dying is the organic end to existence no be counted how unnatural the dying is. you could no longer stay interior the previous. Your son would not have needed it that way. you ought to circulate on. undesirable stuff happens to good human beings and undesirable stuff happens to undesirable human beings. Gods have not have been given something to do with it. it is only the character of issues. while someone (even a young person) makes undesirable options in existence, each and every so often the top consequence is dying. Sorry if I look harsh, yet regrettably - you could no longer substitute what befell. what's achieved is finished. Why are you torturing your self? You create your guy or woman fact only like your son created his.

I'd get him a Mazdaspeed3, Chevy Cobalt SS, or something in the -25K range, so he gets some cheap thrills and your wallet won't hurt as bad.

unless you're so rich that you fly around the city instead of drive, i suggest you go with something cheaper, and definitely, something that is at most only decently powered.

if you're going to somehow feel the effects of the payments you're making in the 3-series or c-class, you won't wanna see dings, scratches or bumps on it for about a year. give it to a 17-year-old male, chances are you'll get all those and more in a month. that's gotta hurt.

so unless you own a flotilla of yachts or a squadron of lear jets, i'd get him, at most, a brand new civic or mazda 3. if you are that rich, then maybe a 320d or a 320i. not a 5-series as they're long, so you'll need a steeper learning curve for that.
