Do yourself a favor and ignore the advice of anybody who is citing an online mapping service.
Simply put :Driving 1123 miles in 17.25 hrs is almost impossible to do
Grab a calculator and do the math
1123/17.25=65.1 mph AVERAGE SPEED!!
Which means that your MEAN SPEED has to be close to 85 mph which also means that you're always driving above posted speed limits
Granted there are a couple long stretches of American interstate where you can average 65mph and run mean speeds close to 85 mph
such as the I-80, 1-90, I-94 across the Plains and I-10 across the bottom of Texas and New Mexico But not on the stretch that you're driving and certainly not with the amount of people who you love that are in your vehicle
Re-do the numbers and use a real world 45 mph as your baseline average mph
1123/45=24.9 hours which is pretty realistic
A little trick for driving distances with kids
Begin at night and drive into the next day ,the kids will sleep thru the first 400 miles
A little warning:
Despite the lack of publicity it is highly likely that tired drivers kill more people than drunks do>including themselves
If you doze off for 3 seconds at 75mph you will have slept thru the length of a football field
If you do do an all night-er then make positively sure that the driver has a wide awake partner riding shot gun between midnight and sunrise
Safe trip
