= 74/3
= (72 + 2)/3
= 72/3 + 2/3
= 24 + 2/3
= 24 2/3
= (148 ÷ 2)/(6 ÷ 2)
= 74/3

= 24 + 2/3

look for the biggest number you can see in the top number that is a multiple of the bottom number. In this case its easy to see that 120 fits. 120 is 20 times 6 so you move 20 out of the fraction and look at what is left: 28/6. now you can see that 24 can also come out of the top number, by multiplying the bottom by 4. so you add 4 to the first 20 you took out. now you have 24 and 4/6 4/6 can be reduced to 2/3. So your answer is 24 and 2/3
