Find the LCM of v^3 + 8v^2 + 16v, v^2 - 8v

v^3 + 8v^2 + 16v
=v(v^2+8v+16)
=v(v+4)(v+4) <-----LCM

and

v^2-8v
=v(v-8) <----LCM

v^3 + 8v^2 + 16v = v(v + 4)^2
v^2 - 8v = v(v - 8)

The LCM of v^3 + 8v^2 + 16v and v^2 - 8v is:
v(v + 4)^2(v - 8)
= v(v + 4)(v + 4)(v - 8)
= v(v^2 + 8v + 16)(v - 8)
= v(v^3 + 8v^2 + 16v - 8v^2 - 64v - 128)
= v(v^3 - 56v - 128)
= v^4 - 56v^2 - 128v
