Is Vancouver A good place to go for a honeymoon?

July would be good = less rain and more sun.

Depending on how much time you have and what you want to do, if you are into the shopping thing, then for sure stay in town. But if you want to experience the outdoors, you can take the ferry over to Victoria, or drive to Tofino. If you don't want to spend time/money on the ferries, then driving up to Whistler for some hiking, mountain biking and ATV'ing would be fun. If you like wine, then definitely drive to Kelowna and the other wine places in the Okanagan area.

There are tons to do in Vancouver and area.

It's definitely a fun city, but I'm not too sure what you're in to.
Theres shopping downtown, but its mostly higher priced stores like michael kors, betsy johnson, coach, LV, and Prada.
It rains a bunch so not too sure if you're into that again.
There are definitely a bunch of gorgeous boardwalk/hiking trails just outside of the city (20min drive) if your into nature and gorgeous scenery.

In Richmond on the weekends at night, there are these black markets that happen, it's basically a bunch of asian people getting together and selling pirated goods, but the vibe is pretty hip, and fun.

If you were planning on going to Vancouver, I suggest that you go to Tofino instead. It's on the Island. It's a very tiny town, but trust me it's absolutely stunning. Like GORGEOUS!

It's definitely a place that can be romantic. If you're hotel is on the water(which is very plausable because most of the hotels are on the water) than you can surf (water's cold, but its a fun activity). Also, if you go into town theres a kayaking place(sorry can't remember the name), but anyways, this kayaking place give you a kayaking in the ocean experience, sometimes you can see seals or whales, they also usually bring you to a small uninhabited island and you hike a bit in the forest, on makeshift boardwalks.

Because Tofino is right by a national park, you just take a 10 minute drive and there are so many awesome, gorgeous hiking trails (with well built boardwalks) for you to hike.

When I went to Tofino I stayed in a villa at the Pacific Sands Beach Resort. It was really nice because we were seperated from the other visitors, and we had the most stunning view from our balcony. We tried to book nights at the Wickaninnish Inn. The Wickaninnish Inn is THE PLACE you want to book a room at, its so stunning, but Pacific Sands Beach Resort is definitely a great runner-up, respectively.

It's actually where my parents took their honeymoon. Of course, they were aiming at Alaska, but missed the cruise. That kinda sucked for them.

It wouldn't be my first choice for a honeymoon. I think if I were to go anywhere in BC for a honeymoon I'd pick somewhere like Tofino or Whistler. Which are a little more romantic and secluded. Vancouver is a great city. I love going there. But it's a bit fast paced for what I'd personally want for my own honeymoon.

Weather in July is great though.

Vancouver would be an excellent place to come for a honeymoon. There is a lot of things to see and do within Vancouver.

It would be lots of fun! There's so many good hotels to stay at, restaurants to dine in, and beaches to hang out at. It's so beautiful. Expect rain, but usually it's pretty sunny and dry here during the summer. You would have a lot of fun here!

There is no place better than Vancouver to Honeymoon in !
Vancouver is full of ways and places to spend your Honeymoon. Stanley Park can be one of the most romantic places in Vancouver. In the Park there are several Restaurants tucked away with magnificent settings and views, not to mention great food such as the

July is a fine time to visit. Spend at least one night in one of the luxury hotels overlooking the harbour like the Pan Pacific. Our famous rain isn't likely to appear at all in July, and there are a ton of outdoor activities, including just walking around looking at scenery and people. Robson St and Denman St are particularly good for that. If you like theatre, you might like Bard on the Beach--Shakespeare performed outdoors. At the end of July will be the Festival of Fire fireworks shows at English Bay.

But I'll second what others have said, and say that if you want to do something special then go to Tofino as well. Book early, it fills up fast. Rent a car and drive over, or take the city bus from Georgia St to the ferry in Horseshoe Bay and pick up a rental in Nanaimo. Crystal Cove is a good quiet little camping resort with cabins facing the water, next to a nice little beach. In July, people will be out on the beach till after dark which doesn't come till almost 10 pm, and it's a magical place.

For a Vancouver honeymoon, I'd recommend splurging on a fancy hotel in the downtown core. There's very little rain at that time of year. If you got rain for more than 1-2 days on a honeymoon in July, you might be cursed.

A definite things-to-do item is to go to Granville Island.

And .H. is right about Vancouver Island. If you're at all outdoorsy, it's THE place to go for a honeymoon.

Vancouver would be a great city...Find a great hotel and if you get a chance to leave your room there are lots of places to see and things to do.
