I would say the Dragonball series I mean it was the first anime that really had kids and adults alike into anime and for a lot of people it was there first anime witch got them really into anime and to me Goku is as popular as superman everyone knows about him and DBZ people even try to keep the series going by making there own like Dragonball AF the series has finished but it's still re-runs on various channels,and still has a strong following fan base.

The most famous anime right now is probaly Naruto. I've been hearing about it ALOT and, its actually really not all that bad! But another really popular anime would definitly be Bleach. Idk what its about but i see alot of anime fanatics walking aroung with Bleach merchaindise. And the last one would be Inuyasha. Even i know about that one, and, believe me, im no anime addict!
