sq.rt.(x-4)-4=6
or sq.rt.(x-4)=6+4=10
squaring both sides
x-4 = 100
or x = 104

sqrt(x-4)-4)^2=(6)^2

(x-4)-4=(6)^2

(x-4)-4=(6^2)

(x-4)-4=(36)

(x-4)-4=36

x-4-4=36

x-8=36

x=8+36

x=44

x - 4 = 100
x = 100 + 4

Now square both the sides

x - 4 = 10 * 10 =100

x= 100 + 4 = 104
