it all depends on the carrier itself. i received a package from china within 7 days of it being sent. I sent a package to Tailand and it took 8 days. I bought a christmas gift from Australia online and I got it within about 10 or 11 days including weekends. The mail system does not count Sundays when they quote you on the number of days it will take in transit. So if they say it will take 6 to 10 days, then my suggestion is to add 1 Sunday for every 6 or 7 days they quote you. So according to my "rule of thumb" their quote of 6 to 10 days is actually, in my opinion, 7 to 12 days of transit. Again that is just my opinon and what I go by when guestimating when I will be receiving a package.
So I dont know exactly how long it will take for you to receive the package, but wait the 6-10 days like you were informed and see, if not by then, then wait at least 2 days or so after day #10. If you still have not received the package, then see if the sender can go to the office they sent it from and see if the clerk can use his last name to find the details of the package to see if they can tell him the tracking number or maybe the expected delivery date (if available) or maybe the sender can use the receivers (your) information and destination information to track it down on their system. Some of these tips might be a long shot, but it just might be worth a shot, especially if the package is of value. If at the end of the 10-12 days you have tried these tips and all other options you can think of, then maybe try to have the sender send another one to you (if that is at all possible).
Hope this helps.
